Browse this FAQ list to find answers to some of the most common questions we’ve received about the way we work and the variety of services we offer. Can I review the video | Photos before it’s finalised?

Yes, at the celebration session where we go over all the edited footage and photos. 

This is the ideal time to review and if needed, make any requests. 

How far in advance should I book your services?

As soon as you have secured your wedding venue and have the official date set in stone, this is when you want to secure your wedding photographer.

As high-quality photographers and videographers will get booked up 2 to 3 years in advance on average.

Can I help pick the music for the video?

I will want to get some idea on the type of music you would like included, but as music needs to be allowed for commercial use as I don't have a licence for copywriter music, it is often best to allow me to find a suitable track but this will be something we can go over on your image reveal (celebration) session.

Do you offer 2 photographers?

I feel it is vitally important to have 2 photographers, so yes I offer this on all packages. 

When it comes to the ceremony and you're facing each other, 2 photographers means both your faces, emotions and expressions will be captured instead of the back or side of one face and the full face of the other part as we often can not move. 

Are all your albums 20x20cm?

No, we start with a 20x20cm album with 20 pages included for those on smaller budgets can still get a beautiful album.

But most couples often upgrade their Celebration session to have up to 80 pages instead of just 20. They also like to have large album sizes with options on 20x20, 25x25, 30x30 or 45x30cm 

Can we have a parent album and does it have to be the same images as our album?

Most couples do love to present their parents with a gift album, this is often a smaller album at 20x20cm and a direct copy of their wedding album. 

That being said, I am more than happy to work on a unique album for the parents based on their own choices, album size and a number of page options. 

Do we need to feed you?

It goes without saying that if you offer a meal, we will take it with great gratitude.

Being watered and fed helps keep up our energy levels as we are on our feet all day. 

That being said, just tell us if you cant provide a meal and we will organise our own food. 

Are you insured?

Most certainly we are. Every single supplier you use should have insurance for public liability and professional indemnity insurance at the very least.

In fact, most wedding venues like all suppliers that come on-site to be insured to around £1 million pounds. Higher depending on the grade of the building they are.

Do you offer discounts for Emergency service staff?

We greatly value the work of those who work for the emergency services, such as the likes of the UK army, navy, hospital medical staff, police and fire services. 


As such, we offer upgraded packages for those special people, such as a free video of the ceremony saving over £400, but we can discuss other options if needed. 

What areas do you cover?

I am based in South Normanton, Alfreton Derbyshire area. This means I am often shooting weddings in Nottingham and Derby areas. 

However, I am a regular in the South Yorkshire region. I am happy to quote for anywhere in the UK, I charge a £30 travel fee for anywhere over 1 hours drive from my home.

How long will it take to get my photos?

Most clients can get their edited images back within 3 to 6 weeks with 8 weeks turnaround for busy times of the year. 

I don't rush my editing as I wish to give the best quality images possible and thus require the right amount of time to get through the culling of the images to process the very best of the best from each set of photographs. 

What happens if you get sick or injured and can’t photograph me?

I have a community of trusted photographers who can step in to take over the photography on the day, this can then be sent to me to edit them in the style you have fallen in love with. 

If on the rear occurrence none of my trusted photographers is available, I can source a replacement if needed via our wider photography community.

Do I get the copyright to my photos?

Copyright always remains with the photographer, but usage rights are always included in my services. 

So you can print your own images, or share them online as much as you like. Tagging me in any online post would be grateful as well. Copyright is for those who wish to edit the images themselves from cropping, reselling images and so on. it's not required for 99% of clients, and those who wish to have this can often purchase the copyrights from their photographer including myself.  

What if I need to reschedule?

If the booking is within the next 6 months and you need to move this date, I will move your booking if I am available with a new contract and the booking fee to be paid. 

Any additional payments over the booking fee already paid will be honoured, however, if the booking is more than 6 months away and you need to move this, I will be able to move the booking for just an admin fee of £25 plus a new contract signed.
