6 Typical Process steps for Hiring a Photographer

To make sure a booking run smoothly, we follow a certain process with each client, here are 6 steps to keep things simple.

1. Make an Inquiry

We receive inquiries every day by email, messaging and phone. Expect that others will be asking about the same date. I make it a priority to respond to any inquiry within an hour to start a conversation with you.

2. 10 min chat

In my reply to your inquiry, I will suggest that we have a quick 10 minute chat to help us see if our style and personalities fit. If your date is available and everything feels suitable, I will suggest that we set up a full consultation with you and your fiance(e). yo Discuss your wedding plans in full.

3. The full Consultation

There is no obligation to book during a consultation. But it is important that we all have a chance to see how our personalities jell together. They happen either online or face to face, they can take about 60 to 90 minutes on average.

They are a time for us to talk about how you want your wedding photography to feel, your style, and what we offer. Not to mention what sort of images you like and don't like.

Together we will work our a price for the service you would like, often this will involve a few options from a high end services to a lower budget service so you can consider your options.

Other consultations for the your date will continue during the time you have made an inquiry up until the first person confirms a booking with me.

– Optional Holding Deposit: During the call, you may opt to put a fully refundable holding deposit by bank transfer on a date for £250. We will hold your date exclusive for 7 days while we work through the next steps. If you do not move forward with booking your date with us within 7 days, we will refund 100% of the Holding Deposit and allow your date to be taken by the next person.

If you do move forward with booking us for your wedding, 100% of the Holding Deposit will be applied to your full package Booking.

4. Booking Request

When you tell me that you would like to hire us to photograph your wedding, I will send you a digital contract to review and sign. We will send the contract within 24 hours of your booking request, and then your wedding date is held exclusive for 24 hours.

If you have not signed in that time, the date is re-opened to others that are interested. We do not notify previous consultations that we have had a booking request, as we do not want to undermine the couple that has made the decision to move forward with us. We will inform clients if the date they ware requesting has now been taken by someone else so you know not to spend any more time considering us if we are not available.

5. Deposit Pending

Once a contract is signed by both of you, we await your booking fee(If a holding deposit had not already been made). I will hold your date exclusive for three days during which you can arrange for the booking fee to be paid via bank transfer, paypal or bank card.

6. You Are Now Booked

On receipt of your booking fee, & signed contract by both of you, I will notify other consultation couples that we are now booked for their date as you have booked in for it. You will be able to download a copy of the signed contract for your records.

The entire process can take as little as 1 hour, others need more time to think about it, and that is fine with me. It is entirely up to you and when you are ready to move forward. So if you are considering us for your wedding photography, start the process by making an inquiry today.
