My Life, My Team!
Protecting Your Memories
I use a portable hard drive on the day that I can back up the images throughout the day, this means I offer that little bit extra protection again your images getting lost or damaged. There would be nothing worse than your photographer getting home and finding they have lost some or all your
memories. I offer that little bit extra protection; I will then back your images up again once i get home. Nothing is more important to me, than your
images once I have finished the day.
Having photographed 1000's of people since I changed from a model to a photographer in 2011, I have had my fair share of experience in terms of creating beautiful images. I have learnt to do this subtly by letting the moments of the event unfold as they would naturally and waiting for the perfect moment. Natural candid moments are the best memories you will have when looking back through your photos, there will be times when you want posed moments such as the group photos, or a private moment with your new husband or wife away from the guests, having someone experienced behind the camera and in front of the camera will help with organising everyone for the group photos with lots of different levels and depths to the image, without wasting your party time.
“Ian and his assistance came to photograph my wedding at the end of June and what a great job they did - efficient, listened to what we wanted, didn't try to push any 'extras' and the results are fantastic! We are able to look back on the memory of our wonderful day with these fabulous pictures. Thank you x”
At certain parts of the day, it is important for you to get away from the crowds and allow you to spend some uninterrupted quality time together as the new husband and wife. This gives me an opportunity to get creative with light, composition and atmosphere to create truly stunning newly wedding portrait images that will be remembered for a lifetime.
Not only do I blend in, but throughout the day I mingle and chat to your guests which gains trust and appreciation for the work that I am doing, this builds confidence for the times when they do notice the camera pointing out them. It can be quite funny what some people do when they trust you as a photographer, the lads and girls rally together for a good party. I adore photographing weddings; I get to meet great people, make new friends, and document the great emotional moments along the way.
Once the reception gets on the way, everyone is used to me and my other photographer, so they just get on with the PARTY!!!! this is when the party photos can really come alive, you can feel the moment running through your guests’ body and mind, the music has taken a hold of them, or is it the DRINK! either way, they are loving your wedding party!!!
“Brilliant job Ian, made our special wedding day so memorable. Will recommend you where possible. Keep up the good work. xx”
Outside of my work
Yes, I am married myself, so I have been through it all, I have been a best man, so I understand the nerves of the speeches, I am a family man with a beautiful wife and a 10-year-old son. I love to get out among nature and socialise with my pets such as my Bull Dog Gambit.
I would be happy to discuss your wedding or portrait plans in detail and maybe we can share some interests we may share together, feel free to reach out with any information and questions you may have. Either way, stay safe, enjoy life, and keep making memories.
