How long have you been a Photographer?
I began my journey in photography toward the end of 2011 after initially working as a model. This experience allowed me to understand the intricacies of posing and lighting, which I then applied to my photography.
My business officially launched in 2012, and since then, I have been dedicated to capturing stunning portraits for my couples. My background in modeling gives me the advantage of helping couples who may not feel comfortable in front of the camera, ensuring they feel at ease while achieving the best possible lighting and poses for their special day..
How many photos are you delivering?
There are no limits to the number of photos I deliver! If the moments are happening, I'm there to capture them all. With my all-day package, you can expect a minimum of 500 stunning shots. For longer all-day services, this number can double, as it all depends on the events unfolding at your wedding.
My goal is to tell your unique story without restrictions on what we capture or edit. Additionally, if you choose to have multiple photographers, you can expect even more images to be handed over..

What is Your Process for Booking?
To secure your wedding date with Ian Petrie's Photography, please follow these steps:
Initial Inquiry: Fill out our contact form or send an email with details about your wedding date, venue, and any specific photography requests.
Consultation: We will arrange a consultation, either in person or via video call, to discuss your vision, answer any questions, and ensure we're a good fit for your needs.
Quotation: After our consultation, we will provide a personalised quote based on the services discussed.
Booking Confirmation: To confirm your booking, a signed contract and a non-refundable booking fee are required. This secures your date in our calendar.
Final Details: As your wedding day approaches, we will coordinate with you to finalise the details, including the timeline and any specific shots you would like captured.
Payment Balance: The package costs will be spread over 2 to 3 payments at certain dates, and the remaining balance is typically due 2 months before the wedding date, but we can discuss flexible payment options if necessary.

Do I get some say in the editing style?

What Type of Equipment Do You Use for Weddings
